The website has gotten a face lift! I'm loving the new layout, pictures, and fonts! Aren't you? The focus of library lessons this week is fractured fairy tales. A fractured fairy tale is a story that uses fairy tales you know and then changes the characters, the setting, points of view, or plots. We will be looking at examples of fractured fairy tales to help prepare the students to write their own! So far students are working on... "The Three Secret Agent Pigs and the Evil Tiger" and "Little Blue Fancy Dress." This Friday is the first session of the 3rd grade Book Club! Four hardworking students will begin reading the award winning novel Number the Stars by Lois Lowry. "The more you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.” - Dr. Seuss, "I Can Read With My Eyes Shut!"
