Literacy NightTHANK YOU to everyone who attended our Reading Safari Literacy Night event! Teachers and members of the Parent Involvement Committee worked hard to prepare for the event. Parents, I hope you walked away with simple, practical examples and tips on how to help your students engage with reading and the Common Core Literacy skills. If you have any follow up questions, please email me ([email protected]) and I will do my best to answer your question or forward your question to the person who can answer it best. SPRING BREAK!Books are now speaking to the students! Students are loving the speech bubbles and are trying new and different books. Make sure your child has selected good books to read over Spring Break! Students may ask their teacher to switch their books during any open library hours. The Fayetteville Public Library is hosting an afternoon movie each day during Spring Break at 2:00PM. The movie schedule is listed below. There is no need to register. You can just show up and watch a good family movie!
The Fayetteville Public Library also offers many apps for accessing books electronically. If you are heading out on a family vacation next week, then stop by the library to get a free card! You will be able to download eBooks and audiobooks to keep your child reading and entertained while you travel.
