Students began new, exciting projects this week! Kindergarten students are learning about book awards, specifically the Arkansas Diamond Primary Book Award. They have read One Cool Friend, Extra Yarn, and Goldilocks and the Three Dinosaurs. They will be voting for their favorite in March! First and second grade read the book The Day the Crayons Quit. How horrible would it be if your crayons quit?! Students are responding to their favorite crayon, persuading them to not quit. We love our crayons! Third and fourth graders are planning their dream vacation getaway! They will be researching travel arrangements, hotel accommodations, and sight-seeing opportunities. So far, destinations include Hawaii, Alaska, France, Spain, the Bahamas, Madagascar, and many, many more places all over the world! Read a book (or two) and enjoy your weekend!
