Our Study on Australia is coming to an end. Students studied more about the land, famous places, and culture of Australia this week. Next week, the students will begin their final project. Students will be designing a postage stamp to represent what they have learned about Australia. As students finish, the projects will be displayed in the library. Feel free to stop by and take a look over the next few weeks! Kindergarten students have been learning about the library - how to behave, how to get books form the shelves, and how to take care of their book. This week we read a great story written by David Shannon - A Bad Case of Stripes. Students then got to create themselves with a case of stripes. Their projects will also be on display over the next few weeks! Helpful WebsitesLearning Game and online reading websites have been added! If you click on Helpful Websites at the top of this page, you will be directed to a list of websites to help your child practice math facts, reading skills, or just find books to read online. All of the websites are free, but some may require an adult to register for a free account just to ensure the child has permission to access that content. I highly recommend checking out the site We Give Books. They have many quality books to read on any device that can access the internet. Plus, when a student finishes a book online, a book is donated to a kid in need thanks to the First Book program! Read. Share. Give. Upcoming School Events:10 Parent Volunteer Training meeting @ 6pm, HS Cafeteria 11 GES Veteran's Breakfast 20 GES Thanksgiving Lunch 23-27 Thanksgiving Break (no school)
