Happy Halloween! Please advise your child to be safe while trick-or-treating tonight. I want to see all of their happy faces back on Monday! This week students have finally completed their fractured fairy tale projects. The students loved having an opportunity to be authors and illustrators. Over the next couple of weeks I will be compiling the stories into one book of fractured fairy tales written by our great students at GES! Feel free to stop by during or after school to read these stories. Students will now begin working on an animal research project. The purpose of this project is for students to practice locating relevant information and citing their sources of information. At the conclusion of this project, students will be creating a special presentation to showcase their research. More details to follow... Have a great weekend! Be sure to have fun and READ! This week's Top 5: 1. Green Eggs and Ham 2. Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Ugly Truth 3. Diary of a Wimpy Kid 4. Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Roderick Rules 5. Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Third Wheel "The more you read, the more things you will know.
The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.” - Dr. Seuss
