Once Upon a Time $1 Book Fair ----- 5/9-5/13
ALL LIBRARY BOOKS ARE DUE ASAPThe end of the year is a busy time in the library! Students are wrapping up their final projects, students are turning in library books for the last time, and I begin the final end of the year inventory. On Monday, students who have overdue books will receive a notice with the book's title and price. Please locate the overdue books and turn them in as soon as possible. If you are unable to locate the overdue book, then payment will be necessary to replace that book in the school's collection. School libraries operate on limited funding yet are asked to provide resources and information for all students and faculty. Each book is valued and used to enhance your child's education through reading for pleasure or reading for information. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation! Parent Involvement OpportunitiesParents, there are many ways you can be involved at our school! On May 10th at 5:30PM in the cafeteria, there will be an Elementary Parent Involvement Committee meeting. The purpose of the Parent Involvement Committee is to work with teachers and administrators to help make decisions. The committee evaluates school policies, aids in event planning (i.e. Literacy Night), and voices opinions on the spending of Title I funds. This committee is an effective way to voice your opinion and help keep Greenland Elementary improving! Parent Involvement Committee Meeting May 10, 2016 ----- 5:30PM, GES Cafeteria Agenda: Evaluate the Student/Parent/Teacher Compact from the handbook, nominate members to serve on the Title I and ACSIP committees.
